Cashback for Groceries

Groceries are something we all need.  In fact they seem like one of my biggest expenses as of late.  Now that I don’t have to drive to work everyday it seems like my grocery bill has even surpassed my gas bill.

Luckily, I have some creative solutions for bringing my bill down.  No longer do I have to pay full retail price for groceries.  No longer do I buy groceries without getting rewarded for what I purchase.

A new set of apps has sprung up on the Google play store.  These apps offer you coupons and pay you for purchasing specific products or types of products.

I know couponing isn’t for everyone.  But these apps make it super easy.  And for a few minutes of your time you could earn $10, $20 or more back on every grocery bill you have.  There are a total of 4 apps that I use.

This is a program that has been around for a while.  It pays you to purchase a variety of items.  The great thing about this program is that it can be stacked with coupons.  With coupons the store takes money off your purchase and then once Ibotta sees you have purchased a specific product, they pay you in a refund check.  This leads to some offers actually making you money while receiving a product.

Overall this is a great little way to save some extra money.  It won’t make you rich overnight or eliminate your grocery bill but if you use it selectively you definitely have the potential to knock your grocery bill down by $10-$20 each month.

This is a great, brand new shopping app.  It is quite basic.  The app gives you a list of offers to complete.  There is a variety of generic and non-generic offers.  A generic one may be to purchase a gallon of milk.  A non-generic offer would be to purchase a specific type of pasta.  Once you have made the purchase, you can scan in or take a photo of the receipt and upload it to Checkout 51.  You don’t even need a Smartphone because it can be done entirely from your computer.

Checkout 51, unlike Ibotta does have a higher cash out threshold.  You need to redeem $20 worth of offers before you will receive a check.  However, most offers pay between 1 and 5 dollars so this threshold can be reached pretty quickly.

Over this is a great program to be used in conjunction with Ibotta.t if you use it selectively you definitely have the potential to knock your grocery bill down by $10-$20 each month.
